Omer Khayyam, a world-renowned poet and philosopher, inspired the founding of the Khayyam Group. The Khayyam Group began sponsoring Restaurant Services in 1982. In the same year, the first Hotel & Restaurant in Faisalabad, Pakistan, opened in Ameen Pur Bazar. The expanding recognition for the excellent standard of Khayyam Restaurant in 1985, a branch was opened in UBL market, and another branch was set up in Rex City Plaza in 1990, in the style of being famous like poetry and Rubaiyat of Omer Khayyam. Hockey Stadium, Susan Road Branch, and later Khayyam Banquet, Jaranwala, were established in 1995, providing services through Event Management in novel ways. Gulberg Restaurant Branch opened in 1998.
