Faisalabad Punjab food Authority
During World War II, in 1945, the Food Department was established to address India’s food shortage. Initially known as the Civil Supplies Department, it supplied a variety of items such as atta, wheat, rice, and sugar. Even after the establishment of Pakistan, a variety of products were supplied. Finally, the Food Department used to supply only three things, namely sugar, rice, and atta, under rationing. The Food Department’s vision is to improve the residents of Punjab’s quality of life by providing them with high-quality flour at reasonable costs, while also protecting the interests of wheat growers by maintaining a minimum guaranteed price for their crop.
